From September 20 to October 3, 2024, the Kronberg Festival will take place under the motto "Passing on the Fire". Experience how world-famous musicians, young talents and ten extraordinary orchestras pass on the torch of music from generation to generation in 29 concerts. Let yourself be carried away by top-class performances in the Casals Forum, which offers ideal conditions for both chamber music and symphonic concerts.
The festival will open on September 20 with two concerts by the "Ensemble Resonanz", focusing on works by Mozart and Beethoven. Highlights of the other concerts include the Chamber Orchestra of Europe's Spark Flights on September 28 and 29 with music by Haydn, Beethoven, Bach and Mendelssohn. Master pianist Sir András Schiff and the Chamber Orchestra of Europe will provide musical highlights.
The festival will conclude on 3 October with the hr Symphony Orchestra. The hr-Sinfonieorchester will conclude the festival on October 3, delighting the audience with Smetana's "Moldau" and Tchaikovsky's "Rococo Variations".
In addition, exciting lectures will take place, including "Dvořák's Cello Concerto" on September 25. Advance ticket sales have already begun and tickets are available online, by phone or at the ticket office.
