On the weekend of 7. On the weekend of September 7 and 8, 2024, Kinofest 2024 took place across Germany and was an overwhelming success with over 1.2 million visitors
. Over 700 cinemas, including many in Frankfurt, took part, setting two records in the process: it was not only the best-attended Kinofest weekend of the year, but also the most successful Kinofest since its launch three years ago.
Under the motto "Films for everyone. Cinema for everyone.", the festival offered a wide range of films for every age group. From current blockbusters such as "Deadpool & Wolverine" and "I, Simply Incorrigible 4", to previews such as "The Crow" and classics such as "Thelma & Louise" - there was something for everyone. Particularly attractive: the admission price for all films was only 5 euros.
A special highlight was the exclusive screening event in Berlin, which took place at the start of the Kinofest. This is where the winners
of the Kinomodus competition, supported by TikTok star Helge Mark, were honored. First place went to @laurapinski with her "jam jar moments" video. Other winners were @zoepauliine, @justagirlnamedjasmin, @joellecatrinebanse and @leooauftiktok.
The Kinofest 2024 delighted cinema fans of all ages and set new standards in the German cinema landscape - including in Frankfurt.
