On Monday Frankfurt-Tipp.de was allowed to get its own picture of the Streetfood Festival on the 25th floor of the NEXTOWERS. A so-called "Food Porn Night" was offered for all foodies. There was live music, food videos and of course the many delicious delicacies from AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 BITES. With a wonderful view of the Frankfurt skyline and a cocktail by Stephan Hinz in his hand, the guys from GOOSE started to offer Belgian waffles in delicious variations - hearty and sweet. I tried one of the salty creations with cabbage, turkey meat and pickled onions - a real treat. The way through the first room of PRET A DINER then leads past the BENTO BOUTIQUE, where sushi lovers can spoil themselves with very special creations. The Fusion sushi and the neo-summer rolls are a real tip. The HELLOW MELLOW stand offers a completely different taste experience. Here you can actually eat gourmet marshmallows. After these pleasures from the first room, the way leads us to the roof terrace, which does not only offer a wonderful view of the skyline and the Hauptwache. Here you can also find the first of two stands, for which star chef Tim Mälzer is responsible. Under the open sky you can taste the praline of the pork belly or the "Hafenlümmel". The second room of this unusual street food project starts with a real highlight: the PERUVIAN BRO`S offers authentic Peruvian folk cuisine of the finest quality. The Ceviche should definitely be tried - even if you are not necessarily a big fish lover. Simply delicious! Kay Schoeneberg - for many years head chef of the organizers of KOFLER & KOMPANIE - will be offering the Bao Burger with Pork Belly, Wasabi and Coriander. Next door is Tim Mälzer's second stand. Here I just couldn't get past the juicy cheeks of oxen. Tender meat in a spicy sauce, served with a crispy bread chip - a delight! The conclusion is the stand of TILLY`S TANTE. Here delicious soups and stews are offered. In Frankfurt the food truck of Tilly`s aunt has long been a cult - no wonder, the creations offered here are really extremely tasty and are also served very sympathetically. <link http: www.tillystante.de _blank>www.tillystante.de
In the second room there is also the VIP area for which guests can reserve seats. But it is not only here, but in the entire area that it becomes clear that the idea behind this issue of PRET A DINER, to mix the concepts of restaurant and street food markets with each other, works excellently. There is no need to be deterred by the entrance fees: The actual admission costs on average 5 €, for the rest of the ticket price you get the Taler, with which you can buy drinks (Golden Taler) or food (Black Taler) on the 25th floor at the different stands. And if the talers are not enough for you, you can of course exchange PRET A DINER currency on site!
The culinary pop-up event, which will be staged in Frankfurt until 27.09., offers a different programme every evening. Sometimes singer/songwriters accompany the delicious journey around the world, sometimes DJs play Elektro-Länge, sometimes there's Rap du Tanz and sometimes there's Slam Poetry. All this, coupled with the design of the location and the truly magnificent panoramic view of Frankfurt, creates a very special atmosphere that should not be missed. And one will thank you especially for it: Your palate!
