Where to go with the friends? Now we are drawn more indoors again. But if on the weekend the girlfriend from Essen comes or the acquaintances from Darmstadt come over, then they don't want to go sailing on Sunday, but brunch. Who doesn't tear their hair out at this point, huh? Because with the extended breakfast the tastes reach now from "Main thing rustic and much of everything" up to the desire after "solid and delicious". So, if you just want to go to the buffet with your family or friends, I've had a look at Frankfurt's buffets: at the beginning, the list showed five places I wanted to recommend. In the end, four remained. Not a bad yield. Here we go:
1. The Café <link http: www.cafe-extrablatt.com aktuell _blank>Extrablatt: Delicious salmon and sometimes a bit noisy. But there is nothing to complain about the variety of the buffet. Especially lovers of thick American pancakes and racy scrambled eggs get their money's worth.
2. Scrape honey from the comb yourself? That's not only a treat, but also a sensual and visual experience. Where. At the <link http: www.westingrandfrankfurt.com de brunch _blank>Westin Grand Hotel. The 5-star hotel impresses with its unpretentious atmosphere, its excellent service and the appealing lobby in Art Deco style. Of course with musical accompaniment.
3. If you've never been to New York, you don't have to cry with Udo Jürgens, but can set off in complete relaxation: on Berger Strasse, the <link http: www.little-italy.de _blank>"Little Italy" has been welcoming diners for some time now, the parallel to the Manhattan neighbourhood is intentional, the menu American authentic. Only that with the "free refill" does not want to work out yet so completely...:)
4. From my map is the lately nevertheless very hyped <link http: www.iimori.de _blank>"Iimori" with express agreement my friend, because we were united; the Buffet is simply away too spartanisch for a Brunch. Eggs only boiled, the cereal loveless, and even the fancy Japanese treats were all too few and far between. The price for this is not reasonable. Only suitable for purists.
5. Instead, the charming <link http: www.margarete-restaurant.de essen-trinken fruhstuck-brunch _blank>Margarethe in the Old Town: whether à la carte and from the large breakfast buffet is served on weekends and holidays from 10am to 2.30pm in the Caféarea and restaurant. Also suitable for families. Should the offspring start to get bored, simply ask the friendly service staff for painting and toys. And now: bon appétit.
