I had a business lunch date with a colleague a few days ago - we met in a plush Café with velvet sofa and chandelier. A business associate invited me out in the North End a while back - destination? A caf<x>Ampersand</x>eacute; with wing chairs and tablecloths. And suddenly, all around me, there seemed to be nothing but coffee houses that had one thing in common besides coffee and cake: their cozy living room feel. I wonder if it's the season. What do you think?
What makes the cozy living room character?
So, it may be gladly velvety. A big fashion trend this season anyway! (Warning: gift idea alert!!! Velvet bags, velvet shoes, velvet gloves etc. But be excited for my post on gift ideas. I've got some fine suggestions for you there. Coming soon to this place:-))
In any case, armchairs belong to it. Also a sofa has to go into the good coffee room. Then the way is paved for a cozy get-together. There should be no lack of cosy lamps. No new-fangled, cool ones with a clean design. No, rather the kind that every grandma used to switch on in her flat, in November, when it was already getting dark at four o'clock in the afternoon on some days. In the past as well as today.
Who of you likes November? Hands up, don't be shy. Because I think this month is fabulous. Why is that, you ask? It's wet, windy and dark. Mostly all at once. Three kinds of miserable. The chocolate cake is a sin, the cheese cream cake anyway and at lunchtime always make sure to book or you won't get a seat on the velvet benches. And that is certainly not because of the bad weather, but solely because of the homely atmosphere. Praise the cakes in the display? It's a gift! The winding rooms are worth a visit alone!
