Hesse week: Everything must go out - Room for new

How did you spend the so-called "Hesse week"? On vacation? Skiing? Very well. I've been home and really earned the three weeks off before it starts again next Monday.

Just don't think I've been lounging around, though. Okay, maybe a little. But the Hessenwoche, which got its name because Hessen is the only federal state that generously allows itself winter holidays, I used to clean out.

Yes, everything has to go. Virgin, clean, empty and fine as 2019 now offers my storeroom, wardrobe and the basement.

I have cleaned out. The original idea seems to have come to one or the other of you but also. Just toasted to New Year's Eve, and already the jars are being disposed of.

Get rid of the tree, bring on the bargains

Christmas trees, after all, are now being collected wholesale. Yesterday the tree service fed its shredder with the firs, which were stored at the Saalburgallee in Bornheim. How and where you best dispose of your tree I had already described to you in the first post of the new year. <link https: www.frankfurt-tipp.de ffm-aktuell s ugc oh-tannenbaum-so-laeuft-die-weihnachtsbaumentsorgung-2019.html _blank>How the Christmas tree disposal works exactly, you can read here.

And not to talk about the sale! Did you get your hands on something fine? Some stores have merchandise 50 or 70 percent off going into February. Now I am not a crazy shopper in front of the Lord. But this year, while not everything is supposed to go a little better, maybe a little bit, and so my stock of tinsel and garlands for Christmas 2019 is now already stocked up.

Hessen Week: Leisure, Penguins and Travel Planning

Now, however, briefly to the Hessen Week, which causes some turmoil and brings the minds to boil. Why does Hesse have three weeks off? <link https: www.faz.net aktuell rhein-main region-und-hessen streitfall-hessenwoche-wo-die-ferien-besonders-lange-dauern-15975562.html _blank>The FAZ complained that the time off would drag on grey and cruel. And why is that the case here? It's like always: nothing exactly is known. But anyway, I think it's wonderful!

How do you start the new year? All birthdays of friends and families go into my calendar. Travel planning is also at the top!!! Especially in January I also live like in an in-between world: Spontaneously doing something else in Frankfurt I find great like paying a visit to the zoo.

Did I tell you already that the zoo is one of my main attractions in the city? That it's the perfect place for a relaxing afternoon? No. Well, now you know. <link https: www.frankfurt-tipp.de ffm-aktuell s ugc freude-im-zoo-frankfurt-die-humboldt-pinguine-sind-da.html _blank>I find it very exciting that nineteen fancy penguins have just moved into my favourite animal enclosure. That's the way of the fresh year: everything has to go out to make room for the new!

How are you enjoying Hessenwoche? When are you guys sorting out?
