In our summer series - yes, it's summer :-) - we stroll today in quite rough areas, which make recently all in Frankfurt quite fuzzy. Imori is clearly infected by the fuzzy factor and is opening a branch in the Gallus quarter soon: Gallus Viertel.
Because everything that is hip, wants to be at the forefront, moves there or opens its restaurant. Gallus district? Never heard of it as a newcomer? Anyone who's ever been to the Hauptbahnhof can't get past it. Or is already in the middle of it. The main artery of the district is Mainzer Landstraße. For some time now, the district has begun to be upgraded, the Skyline Plaza is something like the Zeil away from the city centre. And even if the shopping center has its teething problems - self-inflicted, if you ask me - it still offers everything compact that the Zeil has.
The Europaallee has also already lost its name and is already popularly called "Karl-Marx-Allee". If only the F.A.Z. knew that, which has been watching the Republic around the corner from Hellerhofstraße for decades.
· At the <link http: www.cafebasaglia.de _blank>Café Basaglia, Mainzer Landstraße 233, you might be able to eavesdrop on journalists' conversations or just enjoy good coffee. In any case, the Basaglia is, according to their own information, Frankfurt's only organic-based roastery. If that's not a scoop!
·<link http: schoenhauser-frankfurt.de _blank> Schönhäuser on Frankenallee, named "of course" after Schönhäuser Allee on Prenzlauer Berg in Berlin. Well, that we overlook times generously and enjoy instead of the beautiful outside terrace as well as the versatile offer from coffee, cake and after-work drinks.
· Who "<link http: www.bestefreunde-ffm.de who-we-are _blank>Beste Freunde" might find what they're looking for at the restaurant of the same name at Kriegkstraße 50, corner of Frankenallee. Lucia and Sarah bake themselves, seek out ingredients from the region and also entice with regular events like cooking classes, called #bestenachbarn.
· Last but not least, on to the "<link http: www.gute-stute.com _blank>Good Mare" for peanut flips and a pilsner: the operators think it's desirable to grab a comfortable seat at the counter -" if only to realize that half-full and half-empty aren't relevant here at all." Personally, I've always thought that if you can write well, you can't be all that wrong, so a visit to the self-proclaimed Kiezkneipe is well worth it
