Oh you ball ..This is how we get in the mood

With the current cozy 12 degrees, most of us at the end of November the horror drives in the limbs! Because every year, the tree on the Römer is suddenly switched on, while the apartment and mood are still as bare and pale as the trees in the park. And while the fat Santa Claus is already ringing from every corner, we ask ourselves how it can be Christmas again. Neither the Advent wreath is wrapped nor a candle bought or a ball polished!

So if you still felt exactly zero Christmas spirit, you can be helped with our power program! :) At the top of the list is of course- no, not decorating, but: arrange for the Christmas market with friends, colleagues and acquaintances. In my experience and according to a spontaneous, non-representative survey among my acquaintances, the feeling of well-being creeps in right away with the evening mood. The desire for everything else then follows on its heels. Secondly, there is the decoration. Decoration MUST be. I am not a big fan of MUST, but of decoration. Between us, I am personally completely addicted to the American trend, which is well known: much helps much. But please, everyone as he likes. Whether Scandinavian simple or German traditional, the decoration shops in the area have something ready for every taste.

By the way, a little insider tip is: Freudenreich in Oberursel. The small, fine shop in the old town offers Christmas for the unusual taste. The same can also be found at "Kontraste" and the "Designer's House".

We are here in Frankfurt and not in Rothenburg ob der Tauber, where it is Christmas all year round for tourists. But also on weekly markets you can discover a lot of original or crafty things. A Finnish Christmas market, for example, invites you to discover the North! Since Santa Claus comes from Finland, we might as well find out how the Finns manage to keep soul and body awake and lively through the cold and dark winter.

So, to bring light into the darkness, it is recommended to finally design the Advent wreath or place a mistletoe over the front door.

Third, write Christmas cards! Just today I discovered the most amusing cards at Kaufhaus Hessen in Frankfurt dialect. I have so much fun writing them, and I look forward to giving them when I imagine the recipient's face: He'll make eyes!
