Ready for Take-off we are since the last vacation already again; but happy who lives in Frankfurt. Here we can stay on the ground and still cure our wanderlust in no time. First port of call is of course a classic: the <link http: frankfurt-airport.de _blank>Airport. Isn't that a world of its own? Sort of an in-between world? People on their way to the world, it's like a promise that stirs the imagination. We always wonder where they are all going or where they are coming from; just looking at the display boards makes the imagination do somersaults. So up we get, to immerse ourselves in this tingling atmosphere while shopping, on the visitors' terrace or simply over an afternoon coffee, and discover something new every time.
To cure wanderlust, however, no one really has to go far out of town: we can travel as far as Australia or Brazil in our minds, pet koalas on the shelves or feast our eyes on the brightly coloured world of South America. We ourselves have been living much more casually since an Australian flag adorned the office. From where? From the <link http: www.australien-shop-frankfurt.de _blank>Australia shop on Berliner Straße. So if you want to add some "down-under" flair to your next party, you'll find it there. Of course, the Museumsuferfest should not be missed at this point; but since we are not big fans of pushing and shoving, we prefer to enjoy the internationality of Frankfurt in Töngesgasse, in the "<link http: brasil-latino.de _blank>Ponto Brasil & Latino", where delicacies tempt next to high-proof beverages from Central and South America on the shelf. This brings back fond memories of your last Caribbean holiday - white beaches, steel drums and balmy nights included!
For fans of great architecture, a visit to the <link http: einkaufsbahnhof.de frankfurt-hauptbahnhof _blank>Hauptbahnhof recommended: the vibration of the trains, the energy of hurrying people or the variety of foreign magazines invites idleness, for those who want to get involved and let themselves be carried away into foreign worlds. The cast-iron pillars of the terminus draw a connection to the Eiffel Tower, built at the same time.
But travel, after all, also means incredible anticipation of the time ahead, whether adventure holidays or relaxation are planned. So where's the best place to build anticipation and ease wanderlust? At the unique "<link http: gate05.de _blank>Gate 05" on Berger Street: browsing quirky travel accessories such as toiletry bags, luggage tags, sleeping goggles, smart gift ideas will brighten up everyday life in no time.
