You know what? May has been insane so far. And looking around, it's only going to get better for the rest of the month. Don't you think? It's true and I even have proof! Granted, it may have rained a bit much. But keep those allergy sufferers in mind, right? Besides, rain is like going to the dentist. Afterwards everything is forgotten. Once it's 20 degrees, bang - good mood. Have in the afternoon in the Café with milk coffee and strawberry tartlet creatively thought. By the way, there was no table left on Berger Street last night because it was still so nice out. Was that all of you??
I'm gradually getting the impression that Frankfurt is developing into a city that never sleeps. Enviers will think now again, what do the Frankfurters make themselves thick again! Nix there, but also true. Just take a look at all the great things going on in the city at the moment. (We don't need to have any complexes about the big Manhattan across the pond, just because we actually rest at night. New Yorkers don't even fold down their sidewalks until about six in the morning, as any jetlagged person can tell you.)
So why I'm not getting any sleep at all this week:
· Insanity this weekend - The "Style Blossoms" are doing the honors again. From 13 to 14 May you can meet designers in person, discover fashion, bags, hats and jewellery in manufactory quality. Plus feast on street food and groove to the music of DJs. I'm still looking for a cool and fashionable little something for a good friend. I'm sure I'll find what I'm looking for at the Festival of Fashion and Design. I rarely have so much fun browsing! Late-night shopping until midnight in the Brückenviertel is always a fixed date in my calendar. In the dark, the purchase decisions are somehow easier for me *laughs* <link https: www.frankfurt-tipp.de ffm-aktuell s ugc stilblueten-poppt-im-brueckenviertel-auf.html _blank>All details and information about the opening hours can be found at FRANKFURT AKTUELL.
· Who doesn't like to barbecue in the green? For the brave this weekend: Picnic in Museum Park!!! Parallel to the exhibition "Picnic in the Green, déjeuner sur l'herbe -" at the Museum Angewandte Kunst (MAK), the exhibition organizers invite you to picnic. Sharing a meal in nature is a worldwide phenomenon. This Sunday, you can do the same as the British and, despite the bad weather, optimistically set out for a picnic! It's best to bring your own blanket, food and umbrella!
WHACKING EXHIBITION - WHO DOESN'T LIKE TO GRILL IN THE GREEN?
Opportunity to visit the exhibition is, of course, also available: currently, a revival of the picnic can be observed especially in the big western cities, whether at the stylishly arranged "Dîner en Blanc" or at cheerful excursions into the countryside with child, cone and folding grill. Picnic Time is the first major exhibition to deal comprehensively with the phenomenon of the picnic. From May 6 to September 17, 2017, the show at the MAK follows the fascination of dining outdoors across different times and cultures. What, for instance, does a sumptuous meal look like during the royal rowing regatta in Henley, England, how does one picnic on the highest mountains in the world, as in the Orient or in cherry blossom Japan?
· The very special madness: the Green Sauce Festival . This really is the ultimate insider tip. No Frankfurt resident will miss it. And so, for the 10th time, the guest tent on the Roßmarkt will be packed. For eight days and evenings, the "Frankfurt national dish" will be celebrated" with its seven herbs of sorrel, borage, chervil, cress, parsley, pimpinelle and chive. What I definitely want to try: the market for lunch. Because around the marquee, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day, the culinary hustle and bustle promises far more than the classic version of "Grie Soß' mit Eiern und Kartoffeln" (gravy with eggs and potatoes). Belgian fries for example.hmmmm..
Although almost all tickets are already sold out, I did some research for you: the Kaufhaus Hessen in Bornheim still had three tables free on Thursday afternoon. So: be quicker than fast and grab them! <link https: www.frankfurt-tipp.de veranstaltungen s event gruene-sosse-festival.html _blank>By the way, you can find out what the Green Sauce Day is all about HERE!
I wish you a great week!
