A real highlight for series fans is coming to your home this year: the Munich-based Seriencamp Festival is making a virtue out of Corona-induced necessity and inviting series fans from all over Germany to a joint virtual series event for the first time in the festival's history. The sixth edition of the SERIENCAMP will take place online from November 5 to 22 and can thus be enjoyed by fans all over Germany - thanks to its own free streaming platform as well as the extensive live supporting program Seriencamp TV.
This year, the SERIENCAMP is supported by the main sponsors Amazon Prime Video and MagentaTV, who will present a diverse selection of original series to the participants*. Among them are program highlights such as the opening event with the world premiere of the MagentaTV series SPY CITY co-produced by ZDF, the season opener of the series LOVECRAFT COUNTRY, YELLOWSTONE with Kevin Costner, THE UNDOING with Hugh Grant and Nicole Kidman or ROAD KILL with Hugh Laurie. Series from Germany are also included, such as the second season opener of FRAU JORDAN STELLT GLEICH or the horror series HAUSEN. One thing is clear: thematically, the variety of series is more comprehensive than ever, from A for arthouse to Z for zombie series. With its selection, the festival positions itself right on the pulse of the times - political, social, diverse. All series episodes in the Watchroom are free to watch after a short registration!
Virtual community experience with festival character: Together on the sofa!
The digital edition of the Seriencamp Festival starts on 5.11. as part of Seriencamp TV, a three-day live stream from the studio in Munich. Here you, as a series junkie, can experience interviews, discussion rounds, a big series quiz as well as first exclusive insights into upcoming series productions from Germany and a comprehensive supporting program around the topic of series. The accompanying programme with guests live in the studio and specially produced contributions will be broadcast by Seriencamp TV via webcast, while this year's selection can be found in the form of the extensive festival programme as a streaming offer in the Seriencamp Watchroom.
Following the live broadcast of the free-to-use opening screening on the evening of Nov. 5, you'll have the opportunity to discover this year's Seriencamp Festival selections when the Seriencamp Watchroom streaming offering, also free to use, is officially unlocked immediately following the opening screening. For two weeks, Seriencamp Watchroom will offer easy and uncomplicated streaming of the first episodes of highlights, new releases and insider tips from Germany, Europe, the USA, China, Israel and many other countries. There are guaranteed to be some real gems in there that you shouldn't miss out on. By voting until 22.11. you have the opportunity to go on a serial discovery tour and vote for your favorite, which will receive the coveted audience award "Seriencamp Audience Choice" at the end of the festival.
