On the first weekend in September, the popular Bad Homburg Lantern Festival will finally take place again. For over 80 years, more than 400,000 visitors annually flock to the city to visit the many attractive events, stroll along the approximately 220 booths on Louisenstraße, test the carousels and other rides on the fairground at the am Heuchelbach or in one of the many wine and beer gardens within the city the special flair of this beautiful festival which this year for the 71st time. Mal takes place, to enjoy.
The beautiful festival site, the highly frequented festival mile, the music program, the parades and of course the other events are decisive for the popularity of the Bad Homburg Lantern Festival. No wonder, then, that many of the participating showmen have been there for many years and always enjoy coming to the Lantern Festival.
Visitors to the lantern festival are advised to arrive by public transport (subway, S-Bahn, bus), as parking throughout the city center is severely limited by the festival and the resulting closures.
