As one of the most beautiful festivals in our region, the four-day folk festival attracts around 400,000 visitors to the spa town every year.
The Bad Homburg Lantern Festival is both a funfair and a folk festival and offers a wide range of sales, events and attractive leisure activities for the whole family.
On the festival mile, which stretches across the entire city center, from the town hall to the fairground at Heuchelbach.

A varied music program for everyone is offered on the stages at the Kurhaus, Waisenhausplatz, Marktplatz and in the old town on every festival day from 19:00.
In the amusement area on the fairground at Heuchelbach, you will find modern, fast-paced high-tech rides, family rides, amusement rides and various children's carousels.
A brilliant firework display in the Jubilee Park on Monday evening bids you festival-goers farewell until next year.
The Lantern Festival 2023 will take place from August 30 to September 2, 2024. From Friday to Monday, the spa town will once again be transformed into a huge party mile.
Everything shines, everything sparkles, everything glitters: from Louisenstraße to Ritter-von-Marx-Brücke and the large fairground on Heuchelbach, stalls, food stalls, wine and beer gardens and, of course, carousels line the streets. Rock and pop bands play in the city center, on the quaint Weed in the old town, in front of the castle and under the arches of the bridges - live, of course. But the Bad Homburg Lantern Festival can also be quiet and romantic.
You shouldn't miss the two parades with themed floats and music groups on Saturday and Sunday, where you can of course also admire the charming Bad Homburg Lantern Queen from up close.
