It's that time again. One of the most beautiful Christmas markets in the region invites you to Rüdesheim on the Rhine. This year alreadyzum 27th time! Numerous nations from six continents come together here to offer handicrafts, culinary specialties or special customs at their festively decorated booths - and that in the really uniquely beautiful market atmosphere of the historic old town. Here, houses and courtyards are also festively decorated and thus provide an almost fairy-tale Christmas atmosphere.
In addition to the sales booths, the Rüdesheim Christmas Market of the Nations also has concerts, various performances, parades and versatile program points on the weekends to offer. A highlight here is certainly also 2022 again the Thomasnacht on 20.12. with the traditional parade through the old town. Simply beautiful!
Christmas market experiences for children
.The Christ Child with his "Engelscher" visits the Rüdesheim Christmas Market again. Every Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 6 p.m., the Christkind appears with his heavenly helpers on the market stage - with the exception of Friday, November 25 (St. Catherine's Day). If the Christ Child is not enough for you, you can look forward to a visit from St. Nicholas. He will come to the marketplace on December 6 for the traditional giving of presents to children. Another visitor who has become an indispensable part of the Rüdesheim Christmas Market is Klinki the Clown. He provides Fridays to Sundays (Advent weekends) from 12 o'clock to 20 o'clock in the child paradise for beaming child eyes.
An experience for the whole family are the Wichteltage, which always take place on Wednesdays. Children can look forward to colorful rides, the traditional children's railroad and Christmas riddles, whose secrets they can uncover at the Christmas market. All they need is a Secret Santa passport and off they go.
