Back in the 70s of the 20th century, when the young Federal Republic was just beginning to free itself from the stink of the post-war period and to dare more democracy, he dashed into the middle of the German living room like a force of nature: Alfred Tetzlaff, the disgust of the nation.
Nothing and no one is safe from Alfred's brute tirades. His wife, the "stupid cow" should best not move away from the stove, "Spaghettis", "Neger" and all the other "bombers" but hurry back to where they came from. And those up there, they only do what they want anyway. Anyway, everything used to be better in the old days.
"Ein Herz und eine Seele" has made television history as one of the most successful German satirical programmes. Alfred is cult and belongs to New Year's Eve like "Dinner for One", Bleigießen and . Punch.
