On Saturday, 5 April, and Sunday, 6 April 2025, Frankfurt Zoo is offering a programme for little amusement park fans. From 10 am to 7 pm, families can visit the Frankfurt Mini Dippemess. In addition to the zoo's animal inhabitants, there will be carousels, duck fishing, face painting and roasted almonds.
Offers for children The Mini Dippemess is particularly aimed at younger children. They can take turns having fun on the small fairground and watch the animals in peace and quiet in between. The playground opposite the exotarium offers further opportunities to play.
Food and drink There are various snack stands at the zoo. The snack bar on the zoo terrace with a view of the pond offers bratwurst and currywurst, chips, chicken nuggets, vegetarian spring rolls and potato pancakes. Sustainability is important: all dishes are served on reusable crockery. Visitors can also bring their own crockery.
Those with a sweet tooth will find organic Belgian waffles, coffee, cake and homemade organic ice cream at the waffle stand by the Robbenklippen.
Animal watching also takes place during the Mini Dippemess. The seal feedings (11.00 am and 2.45 pm) and the giraffe feedings (3.00 pm) are particularly popular. The exact times can be found on the notice boards in the zoo.
Tips for your visit Frankfurt Zoo is largely barrier-free. There are handcarts to borrow, wheelchairs are available and changing tables are provided.
Travelling by public transport is recommended. The zoo can be reached by underground (lines U6 and U7) and tram (line 14). Parking spaces are available in the nearby multi-storey car parks.
