65 years of Schlossfest - that's also 65 years of friendship with many Schlossfest partners from all over the world. They provide international flair at the Höchster Schlossfest. "From Heechst am Maa enuff to Kenichstaa" ... is this year's motto of the 65th Höchster Schlossfest. Two anniversaries accompany the festival into this year: 200 years of Königsteiner Straße and 400 years of Höchster Fähre.
Sitting surrounded by picturesque half-timbered houses in a cozy pub on an idyllic castle square and enjoying the view of a magical castle complex with a glass of cider - isn't that nice? No problem, because that's exactly what the Höchster Schlossplatz offers in the old town of Frankfurt's famous industrial district, which was almost completely spared during World War II. The castle, which has been the property of the German Foundation for the Protection of Historical Monuments since a ceremonial handover of keys on March 8, 2002, forms the perfect backdrop for the Höchster Schlossfest, which for more than 60 years has turned Höchst's old town into the venue for a wide variety of cultural and civic events for four weeks.
The Höchster Schlossfest consists of various components: Old Town Festival, a small amusement park and many other individual events or series of events. The castle festival will take place in 2023 much changed. For one thing, there will no longer be the large amusement park on the Main, but only a small Kerb below Brüningpark. Also the fireworks will not take place.
The Höchster Hafenfest 4.0 will take place on June 30 in Brüningpark.
Before the festival of the clubs on July 1 and 2, the harbor festival will be celebrated for the 4th time in Brüningpark. To set the mood, the "Estrellas" (Breda, NL) and the "Absurdist Pipe Band" (IRL) will play. Around 21 o'clock begins the DJ party with Leo Smith and EA Project.
Fest of the associations
On the weekend of 01 July / 02 July, the festival of the associations takes place in Brüningpark. It was previously called Altstadtfest.
The clubs presented themselves as always with culinary specialties, live music and shows.
Höchster Designparcours
The Höchster Designparcours takes place twice a year. The event in the summer takes place at the same time as the Old Town Festival. At the Höchster Designparcours creative people show their work in their studios or in unused store spaces.
Medieval market
At the medieval market, the Kronberg Knights support with a knight camp.
Fair
Instead of the large amusement park, there is this year a small amusement park, which is intended for children.
French Market
The French Market tempts gourmets and connoisseurs to stroll along the banks of the Main.
