One of the great and important wine festivals in the Rheingau takes place again this year in full swing. Already to the prelude on Friday, 14 July, a special experience stands in the course of the opening. Because a part of the Rheingau wine majesties will arrive at 18.00 o'clock, in order to open the wine festival together with the Hochheimer majesties and mayor Dirk Westedt.
In this year a predominantly in the different wine yards arranged musical live program takes place. The varied musical offer - from rock and pop of the last decades, over blues to modern beats in the vineyards - promises on all days pure mood or simply musically accompanied to enjoy the variety and goodness of Hochheim wines.
One of the most beautiful Hochheim old town areas - the back alley - will also this year on all event days to the artist alley. Various arts and crafts and artists' booths invite visitors to browse and shop. Through one of the courtyards, the guests reach the children's rides and the action area Alte Malzfabrik on a direct route.
Newly integrated into the wine festival area was the Hummelpark. Here, various stalls invite you to enjoy Hochheim wines and other gastronomic offers for the first time also at the wine festival in a very special atmosphere and in the shade of the old tree population.
Located not far from the Hummelpark is the Hochheim town hall with tourist information and vinothek on the first floor. Both facilities are open from Friday to Sunday and offer an attractive program with concerts and dance performances by various clubs, over a coffee and cake offer, to hourly wine tastings in the premises themselves as well as in the outdoor area.
On the wine festival Saturday, the stalls in all areas open at 3 pm and on Sunday already at 1 pm. In addition, the Sunday with open stores offers the opportunity to combine shopping in one of the Hochheim stores or one of the numerous stalls in the course of the festival area, with a glass of wine.
On all days, a wide variety of stalls throughout the old town, in the Hummelpark and in the vineyards invite you to stroll, feast and enjoy.
The final fireworks in the vineyards, will celebrate the Hochheim wine festival on Monday, 17. July at 10:30 pm ceremoniously end.
