At the latest since his soundtrack to the animated documentary "Waltz With Bashir" - which won a Golden Globe in 2009 - Max Richter has become one of the most successful composers of our time. Richter comes to Frankfurt with songs from his albums "Three Worlds: Music from Woolf Works" and "Songs From Before". On stage he mixes music for orchestra and solo instruments with the voice of a soprano vocalist. Richter combines these with electronic compositions as well as recordings from nature and the man-made environment. Thematically, he explores, among others, the British writer Virginia Woolf, whose eye for the details of daily life influenced her work and is reflected in her oeuvre. "Three Worlds: Music from Woolf Works" recalls the vitality of her art. An impressive and powerful collage of music that feeds our senses and consciousness with fertile nourishment.
