The Vocal Ensemble Frankfurt and Collegium Musicum Vocale Darmstadt present: The Misa Tango by composer Martin Palmeri with its special Argentinian flair inspires with such an innovative and spectacular combination of two poles so far apart: the painfully -passionate emotionality of the tango and the church-musical religiosity and austerity of the Latin mass text. Martin Palmeri's psalm setting Nisi Dominus has hardly been performed since its world premiere in Nuremberg in 2022 and it was a particularly powerful experience to get to know the work and now make it known to a wider audience.
