The incomparable voice of Chicago finally comes back to Frankfurt
Whether as bassist and lead singer of the band Chicago or with his solo hits - Peter Cetera makes every song special with his voice.
"You're The Inspiration", "Wishing You Were Here", "If You Leave Me Now", "Baby, What A Big Surprise", "Hard To Say I'm Sorry", "Stay The Night", "Hard Habit To Break", "Glory Of Love" - long is the list of hits Peter Cetera is known for as singer/bassist and composer respectively. In view of this multitude of bestsellers, which are also frequently played on the radio, his concerts scheduled for November in this country literally offer a programme for success. The ground for this is already well prepared: Cetera wowed fans and critics last year at the "Night of the Proms" - his first guest appearances in Germany in 35 years! - thrilled fans and critics alike.
Peter Cetera (* 13 September 1944) became famous throughout the world with Chicago (Transit Authority), above all, of course, through his distinctive, high-pitched voice. A founding member of the one-time jazz-rock formation, he was lead vocalist on their first hit, "25 or 6 to 4." The musician, who was originally to become a priest, continued to play a major role in various Chicago successes, sometimes as a singer, sometimes as a songwriter, and sometimes in both roles. In 1985, after 17 albums, he left the ensemble in favor of a solo career, which the sports fan had launched four years earlier and which has since spawned eight CDs. He proved that Grammy winner Cetera has a knack for hits with "Glory of Love" (also known from the soundtrack of "Karate Kid II"), "The Next Time I Fall" and "You're The Inspiration." So the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame and Songwriters' Hall of Fame member can draw from an extremely rich repertoire of popular songs to guarantee an unforgettable concert evening.
