The most relaxed district festival of Frankfurt!
This year with gospel project.
Walther-von-Cronberg-Platz
Saturday, 11. July 2015
4pm - 10pm
A day with neighbors and friends.
What's on at the festival?
In the family area, there will be a baby crawl area, giant four-in-a-row game, giant Yenga, face painting for kids. A music school lets you try out instruments in the "music carousel". Adults can get active in bullriding and on rowing machines. At a creative market, you can marvel at and purchase homemade items and gather ideas for your own creativity.
A stage program holds the festival together: Children show what they can do at the school choir and the children's group of a carnival club. The youth music ensemble brings a classical timbre to the square with Mozart and Schubert. Gospel is performed by a project choir founded especially for the festival. The Epiphany Combo plays "Best of Rock and Pop" to sing along. Other music groups add to the atmosphere on the square.
On a hotel tour you can get to the roof of the Mainplaza and look down on Frankfurt and the festival from above. A guided tour of the district explains the architecture and gives insights into what the planners had in mind when they designed the quarter.
The atmosphere on the square is dominated by relaxed people in deck chairs, with children scurrying between them on tricycles and other mobiles. The fountain is a visual eye-catcher as a centrepiece and is used by children to play with water in good weather. The gastronomy around the square provides visitors with samples of their skills.
