Admittedly: It's hard to leave your hometown but a trip to Bad Homburg actually never hurts.
With Bad Homburg one associates the summer residence of Kaiser Wilhelm II, the magnificent Kurpark, the famous casino or for people with gasoline in their helmets also the motorcycle manufacturer Horex.
Bad Homburg is also a nice little town with nice culinary discoveries. For example, the Flammkuchentempel "Flamm´s".
You get the impression of sitting in a very cozy, former brick garage/workshop (also possible outside) and are overwhelmed by the wonderful smell of freshly baked goods, crispy bacon and roasted onions! Old advertising signs and posters as well as curiosities put the guest in a Francophile mood. Often this leads to ordering several tarte flambées (both savoury and sweet) and accompanying drinks such as cider.
A trip is definitely worth it!
