There was much joy last week at a donation handover at the Obsthof am Steinberg in Nieder-Erlenbach, when organic fruit grower and apple winemaker Andreas Schneider presented Hermine Miltenberger (right) from the association ""Hilfe für Kambodscha" (<link http: www.fuerkambodscha.de _blank>Www.fuerkambodscha.de) with a cheque for € 1,300. This sum had been collected during the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the fruit farm from the proceeds of a wine tasting and other activities. Also at the stand of the association, which has been financially supporting projects on the Mekong island Koh Dach since 2001, about € 260 were collected, a later individual donation brought in another € 200. The money will be used to renovate the roof of the local kindergarten (photo), which will cost around € 11,000. Andreas Schneider thanks all donors and, of course, his friends and top vintners, who had made the wine tasting last Sunday possible through their voluntary commitment. (Image: Obsthof am Steinberg)
