Another branch of Frankfurt burger chain FLETCHER`S has now opened in the striking building behind the Katharinenkirche church on the Hauptwache, which until recently was home to the Mantis Bar & Grill. This is now the fourth branch, with two more to follow in early 2017. The success of the first FLETCHER´S stores has owner Sam Kamran determined that his Mantis Bar & Grill must make way for another branch. This one is in the style of a pop up shop. Of course, that initially suggests that this will only be a brief burger stint. But this is not the case: FLETCHER`S is set to remain at Hauptwache for the foreseeable future. And judging by the popularity during our visit, we can be sure that the concept, which already works so well in Bockenheim, the Bahnhofsviertel and the Nordwestzentrum, will also delight customers at the Hauptwache.
Kamran, who also runs the Café Hauptwache and the Pizzeria Montana, attaches importance to fresh ingredients and a simple motto: being good is not enough, it should always be a little better. "Better Burger" that is. The meat comes fresh from the butcher every day, the burger buns are freshly baked and frozen goods are used just as little as artificial additives. This applies not only to the delicious burgers, but also to the crispy fries.
Whether the normal hamburger, the cheeseburger with Irish cheddar cheese or the spicy bacon burger with crispy bacon (optionally with cheese, of course) are on the clear menu. And there is also a meatless variant with the Veggie Falafel Burger. The fries can be enjoyed in the classic version (salted) or either seasoned with Cayun, or with the homemade mountain cheese sauce - a real recommendation! And the currently so popular sweet potato fries may not be missing, of course.
You have the feeling that burger shops are currently shooting up like mushrooms. But as is so often the case here: Quality wins out. And that seems to be exactly the reason why FLETCHER`S is currently on such a successful track. The burgers taste really fresh and delicious and during our visit even special requests didn't change anything with the friendly service. Burger fans should therefore definitely take a look at the Hauptwache!
