Royal praline creations at ConditCouture

Royal praline creations at ConditCouture

Category: More

What consequences such a simple Facebook post can have. In the case of Thomas Bäppler-Wolf and the team at ConditCouture, a post on Facebook led them to collectively consider creating a praline for Her Highness, Lisbet Widsor I, Queen of the United Kingdom of Frankfurt, Nordend and the neighboring cider regions,
Head of the Commichoderkommichnet, Defender of the Faith. For Bäppler-Wolf aka Lisbet Windsor I aka Bäppi La Belle, there were really only two choices: Either a praline with Fleischworscht or one with Äppelwoi. And since pralines filled with meat sausage really don't taste very good - even if the components are truly delicious on their own - the choice quickly fell on apple wine. Of course, only a very special drop came into question. And Bäppi found it at the Höhl wine press.

Johanna Höhl-Seibel donated a very special drop for the filling of the chocolaty delicacies: the Millennium cider from 1999, which has been stored until today. Because: For Lisbet Windsor only the best. After all, Johanna Höhl-Seibel said during the presentation of the chocolates, they both had already done so many projects together, they were almost like an old married couple. And when the Queen calls, she is of course there. But the filling is not everything, of course. That the rest is also right, Jesco Mann, former head pastry chef of the Caféhaus Siesmayer, has taken care of. The ConditCouture director created three different truffle chocolates for Lisbet Windsor.

There's the Yellow Praline filled with apple cider and a dash of calvados. These tasty balls have been christened "Lisbet's Crown Jewels". If you prefer pink, you can't go past "Lisbets Pink Pomp". These chocolates are filled with the Rosé-POMP from the house of Höhl. And finally, the last variety is dedicated to the dog of the court, dear Ramses, who has been loyal to his Queen for three and a half years now. The white "Ramses the Great" praline is filled with a liqueur and a shot of cider. If you are still looking for the right drink to go with the chocolates, you can also buy small POMP bottles in the exclusive Romantic Edition at ConditCouture.

The royal chocolates are now available exclusively at ConditCouture in Haus Wertheym (Am Fahrtor 1). And also in Bäppis Theatrallalla there will be a small selection. Of course, Jesco Mann and his team also provide other delicacies at ConditCouture, which opened in October 2015, to sweeten the lives of Frankfurt residents, as well as tourists visiting the Römer. But the royal class chocolates are of course something very special, which is why Lisbet Windsor II also unceremoniously named ConditCouture the official purveyor to the court.

So if you've now got a hankering for the chocolates, you should definitely pop over to Lisbet's court supplier. And who knows, maybe the Queen herself will be a guest. After all, right across the street in the Historical Museum she invites you to really amusing guided tours. And she has also had a very special relationship with the Römer for a few months now. But even without the royal assistance, the three praline creations are well worth a sin!
