On 15 August 2015, the cooking course will take place in the teaching kitchen of the Median Rehab Center in Schlangenbad.
Hildegard von Bingen never wrote a cookbook, but she knew exactly how important healthy food is for the inner and outer health of man: "Whenever the body of man eats or drinks without discretion, or performs anything else of this kind, the powers of the soul are injured." In her writings there are always very detailed references to the doctrine of nutrition. In the center thereby the principle of the discretio is located, with which however quite no meager times, but a balanced nutrition is meant, so that it does not lack humans "at the joy of the soul".
The learned baker, confectioner and cook, Rudolf Liess from Assmannshausen gives in the context of its wild herb cook Workshop a short introduction into the nourishing teachings after Hildegard von Bingen. Above all different herbs and spices play an important role here, because Hildegard sees these not only as taste givers, but speaks them also a welfare effect to. On the basis of these principles Rudolf Liess will prepare together with the participants a vegetarian menu of several courses. First, however, it goes out into nature in search of wild herbs, which are then processed into small delicacies.
The event will take place on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at 11 am in the teaching kitchen of the Median-Reha-Zentrum Schlangenbad.
The participation fee is 25 euros, with spa card 22 euros.
The number of participants is limited.
