On Kaiserstraße, the many different faces of the city of Frankfurt become particularly clear. There are high-priced restaurants as well as simple fast food and relaxed street cafés, there are areas where creative Frankfurt pulsates and those where the red light and drug scene of the station district dominate. There are chic new facades and numerous relics from times past. The street is special, always changing and yet somehow very original, not always beautiful, but always fascinating. So it's no wonder that a club that calls this place home can't be easily pigeonholed either and is far more than just a simple club.
Founded in 2009, Orange Peel offers parties as well as quirky theatre performances such as impro slam and stand up comedy, classic jazz and blues concerts, readings and rock'n'roll shows. Sunday salsa parties, kicked off by a kizomba dance class, have long been cult, as have Tuesday concerts with Tommie Harris & Friends, or regular events such as the FITS troupe's English-language impro comedy theatre or Text&Beat, where topical issues are always discussed.
The Orange Peel is somewhat hidden in a backyard. The two stages of the club, which was once home to a dance school, offer such a varied programme that the audience is extremely mixed. The location itself exudes a likeable living room charm, but is just as unconventional as the great program. This makes the Orange Peel absolutely predestined to be a real Frankfurt tip!
