Open Sunday planned at Swiss street festival

Open Sunday planned at Swiss street festival

For some time now, there have been no open Sundays in Frankfurt. That could now change - even if only in a small part of the city. The reason is one of Frankfurt's most popular street festivals: the Schweizer Strassenfest! Every summer, the shopping street in Sachsenhausen is transformed into a long festival mile for one day, attracting locals and guests from all over the surrounding area.

Between Gartenstraße and Textorstraße, the business people located here will once again treat visitors to delicious gastronomy and traditional specialties on June 15 and 16. In the context of these festivities, the city of Frankfurt has now just again planned a Sunday open for sales. In a certain part of the city area, which must be spatially connected to the festival, shops can open on Sunday, June 16, from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. The opening hours will be determined by the city council. To comply with the current shop opening law, banks, savings banks, travel agencies and other service businesses are exempt from this regulation.
