Department store offspring on the Zeil: The Dutch department store chain HEMA opens its newest branch in Frankfurt. On about 520 square meters, spread over two floors, you will find from now on a rich assortment around the areas of food, living, beauty, bathroom, office, baby and child. The first HEMA store opened in Amsterdam in 1926. In the meantime there are almost 700 stores, most of them in the Netherlands, but also in France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Great Britain and since 2002 also in Germany. From now on, you can also see for yourself in our city why HEMA has enjoyed steadily growing popularity for over 90 years.
Two things stand out when you stroll through the comparatively small Frankfurt store: First, that it's amazing how much merchandise can be offered in a relatively small space without the store looking too crowded. And on the other hand that the concept of HEMA seems to be that there is no clear concept. This might sound negative now, but it is rather the reason why the department store is a welcome addition to the offer on Frankfurt's shopping mile Zeil. Because here you can find something of everything - whether high-quality design products at low prices, practical things for daily use or small must-haves (or rather want-haves) for the home. You'll find lights for your bike as well as delicious spreads, wooden instruments and other toys for children as well as cosmetics. It's just fun to stroll through this department store, looking around and discovering the many different offerings. Certainly, one should be prepared for the fact that it can be a little more crowded and thus a little narrower in the aisles. But this does not change the fact that here, one easily runs the risk of falling into a little shopping frenzy. But the colourful assortment and the low prices really invite you to do so. Especially those who are looking for small gifts are guaranteed to find what they are looking for at HEMA. But also those who want to brighten up their home, those who love liquorice and chocolate or those who are looking for wooden toys for children will definitely not leave the store empty-handed.
