Eintracht from Frankfurt, you make it again to be German champion!
Probably every fan knows these lines from "In the heart of Europe". The anthem was one of the songs that were heard especially often on May 19, 2018, after Eintracht Frankfurt beat FC Bayern Munich in the DFB Pokal final. In this special, we want to introduce you to the traditional club in a little more detail and give you some info about fan merchandise, tickets and the current Bundesliga season.

The sports club Eintracht Frankfurt consists of the departments football, handball, basketball, boxing, rugby, ice hockey, curling, hockey, athletics, tennis, table tennis, gymnastics, volleyball and the fan- & promotion department.
The most famous of course is the football department, which has been spun off into its own AG. Frankfurt Eintracht plays its home games in the Commerzbank Arena.
After around five years of new construction and renovation and expenditure of around 14 million euros, the new performance centre at Riederwald was officially opened in December 2010. The prestigious project unites all 16 Eintracht Frankfurt sports departments under one roof. In addition, it is home to accommodation for football talents as well as the offices of the management as well as a sports hall, fan shop and gastronomy.
As a founding member, Eintracht played in the Bundesliga until 1996, when it was relegated. In 1998, they returned to the top flight of football, but this only lasted until 2001.
The 2002/03 season saw them promoted again, but just one year later, the Frankfurt side were relegated again, and promoted again the following season.
After just under five years, the Funkel era ended in May 2009. Friedhelm Funkel had taken over Eintracht in June 2004 and led them into the Bundesliga. Under him, the Frankfurt team reached the DFB Cup final and the intermediate round of the UEFA Cup in the 2005/06 season.
After the botched season finale, Eintracht finished the 2009/10 season only in tenth place in the table with 46 points and even had to leave arch-rivals Mainz 05 behind in the end. After 26 points and seventh place in the table in the first half of the 2010/11 season, the unprecedented fall to 17th place in the table followed. Eintracht was relegated from the elite league for the fourth time after 1996, 2001 and 2004.
In the 2011/12 season, Eintracht managed the all-important direct promotion back to the Erste Liga. As a promoted team straight into the Europa League, Eintracht capped a fantastic 2012/13 season with a whopping 51 points in sixth place - and returned to the European stage after a seven-year absence by participating in Europa League qualifying.
The Eintracht celebrated their greatest success in years by winning the 2018 DFB Cup final against FC Bayern Munich.
The Commerzbank Arena has been home to Eintracht since 2005. Where the Waldstadion used to stand - for many Frankfurt fans, by the way, still the only proper name for the stadium - not only are victories celebrated and defeats bravely accepted. The arena is also the venue for many major events, such as the Festival4Family, the BigCityBeats World Club Dome and concerts by stars such as Robbie Williams, Coldplay and Helene Fischer. Stadium tours are offered regularly, providing a unique look behind the scenes.

Since November 2007, the Eintracht Museum has been housed under the main stand of the Commerzbank Arena on more than 400 m² of exhibition space. Of course, a visit to a home game includes the appropriate equipment such as jersey, flag or scarf. But also many other official Eintracht articles gladden the heart of every fan, which is why a visit to one of the fan shops is an absolute must. The fanshop is located directly in the Commerzbank Arena. You will find the entrance to the right of the business area (under the main stand). On home match days, however, the fanshop can only be visited with the appropriate ticket and is open until about 30 minutes after the match.
On over 500 square meters of sales area you will find fan articles and original team clothing as well as tickets for home games (but not on the home match days themselves, then the tickets are only sold at the ticket booths at the entrance)./p>
