Germany has been eliminated from the World Cup. And already in the preliminary round. That is indeed bitter - but that does not mean that the World Cup fun must now be over in general. Because even without Jogi's boys, a World Cup always exudes a very special atmosphere. Especially when you can fever with other football enthusiasts, cheer or mourn.
Even without German participation, there are therefore again in numerous places in the city the possibility of a lively "pack watching" the World Cup. We have picked out a few tips for you and compiled in this special:
In the ALEX on the roof of the Skyline Plaza, under the motto "We can be world champions!" all World Cup matches - not only those of the German team - will be broadcast live on large TV screens. In addition, there will be delicious international snacks - from baguettes to spicy nachos and a wide variety of gourmet burgers - and refreshing homemade lemonades and cocktails. And regardless of the outcome of the football game, there's also something to be won. When you order a small draft beer, you get a scratch-off ticket to go with it. Thousands of instant prizes and additional grand prizes, such as concert and festival tickets, are up for grabs.
In the heart of Frankfurt's city centre, at the TNT Thurn `N Taxis Palais, all matches of the World Cup will be shown. In the very special atmosphere of the summer garden in the inner courtyard, all games can be watched on a big screen. For refreshment and toasting there is of course everything on the food and drink menu of the TNT.
Special highlights are great raffles and beer, which you can tap directly at the table from chilled 10 liter barrels, specially prepared World Cup snack plates. These are available in different variations such as the World Cup snack plate Germany (with Mini Pulled Beef Burger, Franconian Rostbratwurst, Steakhouse Fries for 14.50 incl. VAT./ person), World Cup snack plate Argentina (with Mini Pulled Beef Burger, beef rump steak from pasture-raised beef and baked potatoes with sour cream for 18.50 incl. VAT / person) or World Cup snack plate Spain (with Mini Pulled Beef Burger, large prawn skewers and grilled vegetables for 22.50 incl. VAT / person). It is recommended to book in advance to secure the best seats
Also in the only original British Pub of the city all matches of the World Cup will be broadcasted - if the weather plays along of course also on the outside terrace. Of course, the final on 15 July Germany against England may not be missing. Okay, okay, one can still dream. In addition to the football broadcasts, there is of course also the entire food and drink offer of the popular pub. It's a really atmospheric place to spend a football night (or afternoon) together.
In the North End, the Free Evangelical invites you to a neighborhood public viewing. In the foyer of the community center, all games with German participation as well as the semi-finals, game for third place and the final will be shown on a big screen. For the social get-together there will also be barbecues and drinks on the pavement in front of the centre. If you want to experience the World Cup in a relaxed atmosphere, this is the place to be.
Chilling in a deckchair, sand under your feet and a cool drink in your hand - that's the CityBeach at the Konstablerwache car park. The World Cup games will also be shown at this great rooftop location, as long as the weather permits. Watching the games in a relaxed beach atmosphere with a view of the skyline - you should definitely experience this.
In the H`ugo`s all games of the German team will be broadcast on 5 Mega Screens. The guests can be especially happy when Jogi`s boys have scored a goal. Not only because that brings us closer to defending the title, but also because there will be a World Cup SHOT as a reward. The hopefully not only chances for it are there during the three preliminary round games (see schedule).
Of course, all other World Cup games will be broadcast at H`ugo`s!

On the banks of the Main in Sachsenhausen, directly on the steps of the Eiserner Steg, is the MainStrand bar, a popular meeting place for Frankfurt residents and tourists to escape the big city stress for a few moments with a view of the Main and the skyline. As long as the weather plays along, all World Cup games are broadcast here. In addition, various beers, wines, coffee, soft drinks, cocktails and more can be enjoyed. And small dishes such as salads, club sandwiches, handkäs with music or focaccias are also on the menu. So if you want to enjoy the World Cup right on the banks of the Main, this is the place to be.
The Kutscherklause is a popular meeting place for Eintracht fans in particular - especially, of course, when a match of the DFB Cup winners is being broadcast. Now Eintracht has a break and the World Cup is on the agenda. The World Cup matches can be enjoyed here in a familiar atmosphere with home-style food such as various types of schnitzel or Frankfurt specialities. Also against the small or big thirst there is exactly the right thing here. Nothing stands in the way of a World Cup experience with real Frankfurt flair.
At Hafen 2 in Offenbach, all games with German participation will be shown, as well as those "for which the levy to Gema is worthwhile". So that everything can be seen well in daylight, the whole thing will take place in the hall. Admission to the hall is 90 minutes before kick-off for games with German participation. The entrance is free, but you are not allowed to bring food and drinks. But you can get that at the galley and in the Café.
In the traditional restaurant DAUTH-SCHNEIDER all World Cup matches will be broadcast. In the very special atmosphere of the Sachsenhausen cider pub, you can cheer on your favourite team while sampling Frankfurt specialities such as "Gref Völsings" beef sausage, Sachsenhausen sausage platter, green sauce and more, in addition to cider from the Bembel and various beers. When Jogi's boys are playing, it's worth making a reservation in advance!
If you still want to watch as many games as possible after the German eleven has been knocked out - no matter whether you prefer to watch them alone or with friends at your home or at a public viewing - then one thing is always important: the right planning. For example, you have to buy the right supplies, fire up the barbecue or reserve seats at the public viewing location of your choice. So that you can plan your World Cup enjoyment perfectly, you can find the match schedule for the 2018 World Cup here:
