Vacation time is free time. Happy are those who stayed home. Sounds weird. Well, wait a minute. I have some pretty good points. :-)
Because, whether there's an adventurous soul or a sloth in us. (I freely confess to the latter ): never was the city more beautiful, because empty. There is space in cafes and on the streets. We need to wait less long, which already turbo relaxes us. And also less looking for a free seat. Currently the sun is taking a breather, after all. But even if it's raining and we want to go to the museum - space, rest, all good.
When the sun is shining, everyone squeezes around in the outdoor pool. But that's part of the nature of it, after all. Anything else would be like a cocktail without the mix.
Now, if you're one of those hardy people who really thrive in the outdoor pool when it rains -please, everyone's allowed to be happy in their own way, after all - you've got the pool more or less to yourselves at off-peak times.
Although "early morning sports at all hours" isn't one of my favorites, I'm happy to share these five things that are much more fun in a holiday-less city. After all, it's kind of just us now.
* <link http: www.lilu-frankfurt.de _blank>Grilling at Lilu. Rent a grill, put sausage on the grill, and listen to the Main River lapping. Please note: your own disposable grills are not allowed!
* Squat for hours in Swiss Square at Café Fellini and be happy about the free space.
* festival time: whether <link http: www.sommerwerft.de _blank>Weseler Werft or <link http: www.stalburg.de stoffel info _blank>Stoffel im Günthersburgpark. Sitting outside is fun and entertaining too.
*Time for sports: learn something new. How about a game of <link https: www.facebook.com quidditchfrankfurt _blank>Quidditch? Harry Potter fans among you? Then off to Günthersburgpark.
* Green up and revitalize Berger Street. In one of the most popular and most beautiful districts of Frankfurt, in Bornheim, it goes round and colorful to the next weeks. Seven oases are to be created. The campaign <link http: frankfurt-berger-strasse.de was-anwohner-sich-am-saturn-wuenschen _blank>"Lust auf Leben" motivates residents to actively shape the longest shopping street in the city.
