If you ask me if Frankfurt is a single shopper's paradise, then: football, whiskey, racing quintet. Do I still have the attention of male readers? I also deliberately didn't talk about shopping, so you wouldn't get off my back right away.
That's why I had to throw in a few keywords first, because I think the gentlemen here also have an opinion about shopping. Regardless of how much you may loathe shopping. But even a man needs a new shirt now and then. Where do I get this wisdom? From usually well-informed sources and in-depth, careful empirical questioning in my own household.
JUST PARADISE?
But now back to the starting point: is Frankfurt a shopper's paradise? If you ask me, then clearly yes. Why? Because I'm a total fan of shopping malls. The Main-Taunus-Centrum? Had an offshoot of Stuttgart's Breuninger department store ages ago. And Skyline Plaza. Yeah, I know. Bitching here, complaining there. I'm not saying it's unjustified to complain that the makers of the mall could have come up with better ideas when it came to parking. I also think the parking garage itself is adventurous. But more adventure in everyday life doesn't hurt either. And if I can really find everything nicely laid out in one place in a short amount of time, plus sports and spa, a bit of coolness like Desigual or trends from Pull & Bear, PLUS visit the restaurant on the rooftop terrace, then there's little that beats Skyline Plaza. Just saying: balmy summer after-work above the rooftops of Frankfurt. To melt away.
Finally, a thank you to all the gentlemen who stuck around until the end. In the shopping malls you can quickly and compactly buy what a man's heart desires, right?
What do you think, shopping mall: hop or top? And which one can you recommend?
