In green mounds instead of skyscrapers we will not live in Frankfurt in the future? But if the climate changes, we sweat in the summer because of the heat, then Maintower and Co could actually become greener because of climate change.

Because the city today transforms the Roßmarkt for a week in a "climate piazza" (<link https: www.frankfurt-tipp.de ffm-aktuell s ugc der-rossmarkt-wird-zur-klima-piazza.html _blank>More about it you read as always here with us on Frankfurt Tip in the current.), I have tested the ideas there immediately times. In view of the fresh and shady greenery, my houseplants could become jealous. With its four climate rooms, resting spots under palm trees and fragrant lavender, I immediately feel like relaxing at Roßmarkt. When do you ever get that there? So while I was strolling around, four things caught my eye for more freshness in the city:

1. The squeaky ducks in yellow, purple and blue. I always feel much fresher when water is sloshing somewhere in the city. Klima Piazza tells me about this, that I find many fountains especially in Frankfurt - a long tradition. Did you know that? I didn't. Here in Bornheim there's a fountain at the clock tower and in Alt-Sachsenhausen at Ritterplatz. Where is there one near you? And do you know the fountains in the Wallanlagen? My favorite one is bubbling at Obermainanlage, for example.

2. Hear the grass grow. Green prospects for Frankfurt if the exterior facades become greener in the future. Plants could climb along facades and it should sprout on roofs. Both are fine with me. What I am wondering, however, is whether there are also possibilities for planting plants along the facades of apartment buildings. Does the landlord have to take action for that? Hm..so I see, after the Piazza opens today at 4pm, I have until next Wednesday to get my questions out.

3. Unsealing land. What characterizes the city? The concrete. But when everything is paved over, it gets hot and rain has a hard time percolating. That should change in the future. I think so. I think so. Good.

4. Good friend I am with the so-called "cold air producers": the above-mentioned ramparts, trees, parks and the Main riverbank. All to be extended or expanded. Hooray!

Now that I've visited the climate piazza at Roßmarkt for the first time, my preliminary conclusion is: bring on the greenery. Because Frankfurt can only get cooler. More nature dampens noise and relaxes. If the city faces up to the changing climate, Frankfurt could actually become even more livable and greener
