Get out of the daily routine - guest in your own city

Get out of the daily routine - guest in your own city
Get out of the daily routine - guest in your own city

Just now I am back from vacation. To make it easier for me to settle into everyday life, I have developed such a strategy with the aim of creating relaxing moments for myself in everyday life.

That's why I was totally excited about the concept "Frankfurt for Frankfurters" or "Guest in your own city" a few years ago - because I have such a soft spot for hotels.

And what can I tell you? In 2015, I stayed in a five-star luxury hotel with a friend for a weekend!!!! Because when it comes to relaxation, it's not so much about travelling, but what's important is: the main thing is to get out of the daily grind - I just read that in the newspaper and can only confirm it myself.

And because, <link https: www.frankfurt-tipp.de ffm-aktuell s ugc gast-in-der-eigenen-stadt-bietet-2018-entspanntes-christmas-shopping.html _blank>As you can read here on Frankfurt-Tipp, we have the nice offer "Guest in your own city" for Christmas, I'll tell you what I experienced during the weekend in the luxury hotel.

Because one or the other wonders surely, how it is so!

Checked into the luxury hotel

My girlfriend and I had booked us from Saturday to Sunday in the Westin Grand on the Konrad Adenauer Street. This is already a beautiful hotel. The lobby and the bar in the 30s ambience are worth a visit alone.

Delivered by the respective spouse, we then rolled with our mini rolling suitcases through the revolving door of the hotel. This was also very droll, as we always joked that it would be the first trip where forgetting, say, socks at home wouldn't be a drama. One phone call, and the socks would be delivered by family taxi ;-)

As soon as I strode through the revolving door, I was able to dive into the hotel world. With its subdued and sophisticated atmosphere. I was immediately blown away, completely turned off. That wasn't to change for the entirety of the stay. Aaaaaahhhh..thought and muscles already relaxed!

The little snob in me *cough* was anxious to see how we would be received as "cheap guests". What can I say? Impeccable. How do you think it feels to be a guest in your own city with trained and excellent staff serving you? Heavenly.

Relaxing in the pool above the rooftops of Frankfurt

Now that we've checked in, we threw ourselves onto the fabulously cushioned box spring bed - I'm a big fan of those - and explored the hotel first. Especially the pool on the upper floor had done it to us. Because unlike in a foreign city, we didn't really have sightseeing plans ;) Whereby: have I already mentioned that the new old town is really worth a visit.please bear with me, I just find them simply successful.

After a refreshing round in the pool we decided but then for extensive shopping. As it will be possible in this year's offer for us Frankfurters.

Some will think, oh, I don't do that to myself.but you should not miss it, I tell you.

Back at the hotel.Equipped with cremant, nibbles, hopped on the box spring bed and off we went for the delightful DVD evening.

Slumbering blissfully through the night, we strolled to breakfast the next morning with a friendly welcome and pleasant surprise: honey from the honeycomb! For the Westin maintains its own beehive on the roof. We didn't need to check out until 4pm. Then we rolled home with our suitcases.

In my blog post from 2015, I revisited what I had jotted down as a reminder:

Here are five more reasons to return to the Westin Grand Frankfurt:

* the professional yet warm service
* the sophisticated 30s flair of the lobby
. * the excellent breakfast with honey from the honeycomb
* the subdued surroundings, soundproof windows provide peace of mind on Konrad-Adenauer Strasse, there was no sound from the hallway either.
* the missed chance for a spa visit with cosmetic treatment

Since the campaign <link https: www.frankfurt-tourismus.de uebernachten-hotels gast-in-der-eigenen-stadt _blank>"Guest in your own city" has already started, the word is now to be quick, for all those who still want to grab this excellent opportunity! Which hotel would you be interested in?
