The sun, the sun and you.So with this weather outlook, my inner switch almost flips itself to vacation mode, even with work waiting again on Monday. All far away. Instead: Good mood and good weather. Racing cyclists saddle up and race along the banks of the river Main, I prefer to chill out. Now I have to tell you something: of course you can guess: What? These are all insiderFFM tips. That's right. But there are special tips. Like today, for example. Because I've been thinking for quite a while whether I should really reveal my favourite tip of all favourite tips. And before anyone snorts indignantly: you know the feeling of not telling everyone about small, secret places, because they are just too beautiful and not yet overrun?!!!
But I'm a generous person and so far: Shared joy is double joy. So, pay attention! Where is the best place to chill out in Frankfurt, because the surroundings invite you to do so in the middle of nature?
CHILLING AT THE LAKE
You can actually experience the perfect summer at the Schwedlersee in Frankfurt's Ostend. It always reminds me a bit of summer in Sweden, like I used to read in Astrid Lindgren's books. Last Sunday I stopped by the boathouse of the 1st Frankfurter Schwimmclub, one of the oldest swimming clubs. In front, a small party with white tablecloths was celebrating a wedding, on the jetty two women were chatting over coffee and cake, while around the lake families with children were splashing around in the water.
There is probably no place in the city that exudes more nature, more tranquillity and yet at the same time offers this spectacular contrast to the city around it with its cranes and industrial buildings. The artificial lake was originally excavated to expand the harbour, quite square and about more than two metres deep. Around the pit with groundwater, lush green with bushes and trees developed. But beware: If you want to swim in it, you should be prepared to share the natural pool with its natural inhabitants (numerous fish)! ;-)
ADLER IM ANFLUG
But above all, this weekend everything, but on really everything comes down to THE DFB-Pokalendspiel! Because if Eintracht win, they finally have a great chance to play internationally. If Frankfurt wins, then the Europa League beckons. Heart, what more do you want? I know that some of you have already arranged to watch the game in private. I like to enjoy the game in a big group and, as I mentioned, I like to chill out in the summer: The cup final will be shown live on two screens in the Long Island Summer Lounge! In a casual atmosphere on the deck of the parking garage Börsenstraße, dangle your feet in the pool and sip cool drinks. Huiiiiii..
RECORD SOFT
And one more win can be had this summer: On <link https: www.frankfurt-tipp.de ffm-aktuell s ugc ein-gruene-sosse-tag-fuer-frankfurt.html _blank>Green Sauce Day namely! What it is. Under the motto "Frankfurt eats world record", green sauce can be eaten together for the first time at all kinds of places in the city on 22 June. This day is to become a special day on which Frankfurt celebrates itself and its cult dish. The whole city is to be mobilised to celebrate Frankfurt's trademark - with the aim of setting a world record and strengthening the community feeling of peaceful coexistence. So, I think if any city can world record, it's Frankfurt....
You can find even more favourite places to chill out, such as in Niederrad the<link https: www.frankfurt-tipp.de geniesser-tipp s geniessertipp frankfurts-schoenster-kiosk-das-orange-beach.html _blank> Orange Beach here on Frankfurt Tipp.
