The heat actually has a leniency for short moments. That's a good thing, too, because my body slowly lapsed into the stage of a boiled lobster: so soft-boiled I feel more like sweet idleness than any exertion at the moment.
Or have I already fallen into delirium? ;-) Instead of at my desk, I see myself lounging on lovely hills like Goethe in Italy: Blanket spread, cool white wine on the left, picnic basket on the right. A bit of Italian "Dolce far niente" is just what I need in these temperatures. Because Frankfurt actually has some places to offer, where idlers really get their money's worth.
About costing better said - tasting -, it is about the "pantry Fattoria La Vialla". Some may not have heard of it yet, but many have already ordered the Italian organic products from the farm in the Chianti region of Italy at "La Vialla".
If I now have a desire for pleasure, I don't even need to spend hours roaring south over the Brenner, but can pedal towards Klassikstadt in the northwest by bike. There lies the piece of Tuscany with all its delights.
The "Fattoria" is a lovingly traditional place to taste new wines and culinary specialties or to stop by with friends to pick out a gift basket. Just yesterday, I sat at the wooden table with red and white tablecloth at lunch with four other guests. It was all family-style over fusili with tomato sauce. Whoever wanted to, tried crusty bread with olive oil or various pestos and cheeses while chatting with the table neighbors. Hmmmm..what a sensory experience: just saying - suddenly pine groves and the picturesque marketplace of Luca in Tuscany were close at hand.
ERFRESHING
Oh, I also managed to learn the pantry sommelier's favorite recipe for a fresh summer drink: It consists of ½ Fragolina (A puree of fresh strawberries - a favorite classic) plus 1 bottle of Chiassaie (sparkling wine).Quite unselfishly, I've already had a taste...:)
When I have less time but still feel like indulging, I like to relax with a short espresso during the day. Or currently, iced coffee. By the way, am I the only one here who is addicted to this cold drink during the summertime or do you guys feel the same way?
But I don't take every ;-) No, I'm picky about that. The Italian version of my flavor comes out light brown and mixes ice with coffee. So if I want to treat myself, I prefer to go to "Illy" for it. The Café is alone a visual sensation with its black-red interior. Italy at its best. And the iced coffee? Tastes just fine. This is the way to endure the summer, because "pleasure is the word used to describe intimate enjoyment", as the good Immanuel Kant already knew.
Supposedly, women find moments of leisure in drinking coffee and men in eating. For me, both work. Do you guys feel the same way? For those epicures among you who like to indulge body and soul with Mediterranean cuisine, I have two more special restaurants. Buon appetito!
