If I remember correctly, October has been more grey than golden so far. So it still owes us something. In terms of beauty, in terms of amazing nature experiences; in general in terms of just letting loose. Autumn is welcome to put in a little effort. Because for me autumn means to experience the change of seasons intensively outdoors.
Fortunately Frankfurt is now 1. a village ;-) and 2. surrounded by a lot of apples. Yes, we live in our little city in the middle of an apple paradise. If you roll your eyes and think, "My goodness, she's never been to a cider bar before," I would like to ask you for a little patience and to inform you that I see myself as the first ambassador of the Mispelchen outside of Frankfurt! When I bring the Mispelchen into play, the great cluelessness, gives way to an initial amazement and ends in absolute curiosity.
Our Frankfurt apple paradise does not end with the wine, after all. No. The other Sunday I made my good-humoured rounds on the Lohrberg. What I found there in Frankfurt's sociability and nature experience, I must therefore share here today:
Because at the Lohrberg is not only Frankfurt's own vineyard, as even the mayor is not tired to emphasize. No, right next to it is the <link http: www.mainaeppelhauslohrberg.de _blank>Main Äppelhaus Lohrberg, something like my little apple farm. It is an orchard center with an adventure garden and landscape projects. Besides the possibility to stop for a break between hay bales and apple stacks, the Äppelhaus offers adventurous activities for children, such as playing in the meadow orchards to get to know nature. Still in October, the Äppelhaus invites you to "Cooking under the apple tree" and leads in November once again through the vineyard. <link http: www.mainaeppelhauslohrberg.de images dokumente kalender_2016.pdf _blank>The complete programme of events can be found here
