Every year again....begins the pondering time around the gifts. It should be original, give the other person the most joy possible and convey appreciation to him or her. And all the fabulous ideas I've come across during the year, now that it comes down to it -swoosh- deleted . Not too small or too showy, so it comes across as light and not too crampy. Phew, at this point at the latest, I usually can't think of anything. But this time I was so smart and wrote down what friends mentioned on the side, which shops they like, where they like to buy small things: Today I wrote down the three most popular gift ideas here:
- <link http: www.dutchliving.com _blank>Dutch Living in Sachsenhausen. The little Dutchman enchants with typical Dutch products such as orange clogs and the Dutch design that reflects the lightness and cosmopolitanism of our neighbors: modern, clear shapes and a wide variety of colors prevail. I love to give and receive gifts, especially if they are useful. Now it's out. I am a very practical person. But it still has to be beautiful: that's why I'm particularly taken with the coated zinc trays.
- T-shirts à la Frankfurt. Nothing is as much fun as a top with cool and preferably still city district typical print, proud to wear through the area. And there are a lot of hip designers around: think of <link http: stoffausfrankfurt.de de _blank>Stoff aus Frankfurt, the rock'n'rollers <link http: eaglebauer.de _blank>Eaglebauer from Bornheim or the young<link http: www.069ner.de _blank> label 069 (also something for football fans;-)).
By the way - great opportunity for Saturday night - Stoff aus Frankfurt offers on 29. November from 6pm in a pop-up store offering his artful designs.
- Front on the wish list: <link http: www.vomfass.de geschenke _blank>"Vom Fass", in Toengesgasse. Whether it's mango vinegar like my Japanese friend Satoko loves, liqueurs or, say, orange olive oil - there's lovingly packaged in a tasting and gift set. A pleasure experience that makes joy and what I therefore certainly like to give away.
