On September 10, the charming tragicomedy LOVE SARAH - LIEBE IST DIE WICHTIGSTE ZUTAT comes to our cinemas. German director Eliza Schroeder made her feature film debut in her adopted country England. The film will celebrate its German premiere in Frankfurt on 18 August. Why in Frankfurt of all places? The international production was co-produced by the Frankfurt company Neopol and supported by HessenFilm und Medien. The two young producers Tonio Kellner and Jakob Zapf from Neopol are still quite new in the business, but with LOVE SARAH - LIEBE IST DIE WICHTIGSTE ZUTAT (LOVE IS THE MOST IMPORTANT INGREDIENT) they have already shown a good hand for interesting, heart-warming material. On Tuesday, August 18, 2020, at 8:30 pm, Jakob Zapf and Tonio Kellner of Neopol Film will be personally present at the official German premiere at Cinema and will be available for an audience talk. London-based director Eliza Schroeder will welcome the audience in Frankfurt with a video message.
And that's what the film is about:
It had always been Sarah's heart's desire to open her own bakery in London's Notting Hill district. When she dies unexpectedly, her 19-year-old daughter Clarissa is determined to make her mother's dream come true. With charm and persuasion, she brings first Sarah's best friend and eventually her eccentric grandmother Mimi on board. United by their shared grief, the three women plunge into the adventurous world of confectionery. Between cream tarts, raspberry éclairs and chocolate cakes, new love and hope grow bit by bit.
