2012 Rainer Schecker had an idea that was as simple as it was ingenious: in and around one of the greenhouses of his family's traditional nursery in Oberrad, which he has been running since 1997, he has created a lovely destination for the whole family. The bright indoor and spacious outdoor areas offer plenty of seating, surrounded by lots of greenery and shady parasols. The whole thing just looks very nice and inviting, so that you can easily let your soul dangle here as a guest.
At the self-service counter you can supply yourself with coffee, delicious things from the milk bar or various cold drinks. Homemade ice cream and homemade, extremely tasty cakes are also on offer here. Savoury dishes are also offered on a regular basis. And the green sauce, which is grown here, may not be missing there of course.
Particularly worthwhile is this small idyll at the Oberräder edge of the city forest for a trip with the family. Because for children is offered here quite a lot. There is a very large sandpit, which can almost be described as a small city beach, with lots of sand toys and a skating rink on which the children can climb. There are bobby cars and other children's vehicles everywhere for the little ones to race around on. And even if the weather doesn't cooperate and you have to sit inside, there is a large play area for the little ones. Parents can sit back, relax and enjoy their coffee and cake. Simply beautiful.

By the way, after a visit "Im Gadde" you can follow a nice walk in the forest. The Waldspielpark Scheerwald and the Goetheturm (which should be back in 2020) are not too far away.
