The Mook Group will in future provide gastronomy for the spectacular restaurant space in the barrel top of the new Henninger Turm.
Until its demolition in 2013, the Henninger Turm was the city's most famous architectural landmark. No building has ever had nearly as lasting an impact on Frankfurt's skyline as this striking monolith. A completely new Henninger Tower is currently being built on exactly the same site. Although the imposing structure will now be larger and taller, it will once again have the same unmistakable silhouette as its historical model. This time, however, the characteristic tower will not be a windowless grain silo, but a wonderfully transparent pixelated residential property. The idea is an almost ingenious move to interpret the pioneering industrial architecture of the sixties in a contemporary way and at the same time make good use of it in terms of urban development. The Mook Group has now been offered the gastronomic use of the soon-to-be-built restaurant space in the legendary barrel-top of the Henninger Turm. As culinary ambassadors of Frankfurt and committed local patriots, we could not refuse this responsible challenge. Our soon-to-be-built rooftop restaurant will float high above the city's rooftops and offer an incredible 360-degree panoramic view. The floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows will offer an unprecedented perspective of the impressive Mainhattan skyline and the surrounding countryside. Our new restaurant will also feature a breathtaking 360-degree outdoor terrace on the floor below, which will of course also be equipped with floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows. As a further highlight, the restaurant will also have a completely open show kitchen with integrated kitchen counter. We don't want to reveal everything yet, but especially friends of culinary concepts such as the Chef's Table at Brooklyn Fare or the legendary Ateliers by Joël Robuchon will surely have their true pleasure here. Frankfurt is the only city in Germany with a truly relevant skyline and deserves a panoramic restaurant that can also hold its own gastronomically in an international context. Let us now look forward together for Frankfurt to what will surely be the most exciting restaurant opening in the next few years.
