Haru Sushi - Fine Sushi Art on Friedberger

Haru Sushi - Fine Sushi Art on Friedberger

Category: Restaurants

Entering the small shop on Friedberger Landstraße, the first impression is not necessarily what you would expect from a Japanese sushi restaurant: the old-looking tables radiate a cosiness, which is further supported by the very modern lamps set as a counterpoint and the beautifully selected pictures on the walls. After a very friendly greeting, you can then take a seat on the comfortable chairs and choose your sushis from the clear menu - either individually (one to six pieces), or as plate variations.

If the sushi then comes to the table, it quickly becomes clear: Here the eye eats with you. The arrangement is very affectionate and almost artistic. Chef Min-Sang comes from the South Korean province of Jeollanam-do, which is known for its traditional cooking culture. Sushi making here is more than just preparing delicious food, it's an art form. And you can tell that Min-Sang also wants to cultivate this tradition in Frankfurt's North End. For example, the Almond Crunch Rolls coated with almond pieces not only taste very good, but also look really nice.

The Haru Sushi Plate 3, which we opted for during our visit, consists of sashimi, maki and rolls. The sashimi comes with salmon, the freshness of which is immediately apparent, prawns, octopus and tuna. There are also eight rolls, including California Rolls and the very tasty Crunch Spicy Salmon Rolls. And finally, there are six maki on the plate, including the very refreshing Cucumber Maki. Highly recommended among the appetizers are the deep fried shrimp sticks. And the Japanese udon noodle soup also tastes simply delicious.

The loving arrangement of the dishes, the taste of the fresh, high-quality ingredients and the nice atmosphere in the restaurant ensure that real all-round sushi enjoyment is offered here. A really nice restaurant that can be warmly recommended to all sushi lovers.
