Ramen Jun opened at the fair around two years ago, the first European branch of the ramen restaurants so successful in Tokyo. The high standards that have made RAMEN JUN so successful in Japan have probably also been met by managing director Hiroyuki Kurosu with the Frankfurt and international fair public. Because in a very short time RAMEN JUN has become one of the top addresses for Japanese cuisine in Frankfurt. Now there is a second branch, RAMEN JUN RED, in Fahrgasse near Konstablerwache. In the middle of the city you can now enjoy the delicious noodle soup.
Originally, ramen comes from China, but has changed greatly over time due to influences from Japanese cuisine and in the form known today is one of the very special favorite dishes of the Japanese. In Germany, we like to associate the term ramen with the instant noodles that you can buy for little money in the supermarket. But these instant noodles have little in common with the ramen that you can buy in ramen restaurants or at small street stalls in Japan. The broth alone, which consists of meat, fish, seaweed and vegetables, is a real treat. Every ramen chef has his own recipe, so there is a very wide range of variations of this dish.
The offer at RAMEN JUN RED is a little bit different than at the West End branch. But ramen is also central to the menu in the City. As well as a few starters and donburi dishes, there's ramen with different chowders and varying degrees of spiciness. The broth tastes very powerful and spicy, the homemade noodles are a delight and the tender pork or vegetables also ensure that the taste buds are tickled in a very pleasant way. The portions are decent, which combined with the good ingredients that you can actually taste out, absolutely justifies the price of a portion.
Hirouki Kurosu's team is all about providing their guests with the most authentic ramen experience possible. Of course, this includes not only the recipes, the right ingredients and the perfect preparation - all of which is guaranteed - but also that the guest feels comfortable during his visit. The appealing ambience of RAMEN JUN RED and the extremely friendly service ensure that this is indeed the case. So if you want to enjoy really good ramen in a friendly ambience, you should definitely stop by here.
