If there's one food trend in Frankfurt right now, it's undoubtedly burgers. There are many new burger joints in the city, which includes the one from the Good Guys on Kaiserstraße. Especially in such a location, where there is a lot of competition, the offer has to be right in order not to disappear quickly from the scene. And as soon as you enter the store, you get the feeling that a lot has been done right here. The interior exudes a lot of American flair. There are comfortable chairs or comfy sofas to sit on and on the wall the logo of the "Good Guys" shines in a very original way.
The menu is pretty straightforward. The burgers come in eight varieties: classic hamburger, with bacon, cheeseburger, vegetarian, vegan, with feta cheese, with chicken, or the signature burger with a triple load of meat. From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., the lunch menu is available at a decent price of 10.90 euros. Here you get the hamburger or the cheeseburger together with fries and a soft drink of your choice. We chose the cheeseburger with Angus beef, Irish cheddar and red onions. Good choice. The bun of the burger had a very good consistency, was not too soft and not too crispy. The meat was juicy and cooked to perfection for our taste. The fries could have used a little more salt, but the ketchup made up for it.
The service was very friendly and attentive and although it was quite busy when we visited, we didn't have to wait too long for our food. The drinks selection is good, with a choice of gin, craft beer or shakes available as well as soft drinks. Very nice is the local touch that the makers here have incorporated, for example by printing on the fresh towels at the place that these are for "Babbische Schnude". Anyway, there's a pleasantly tongue-in-cheek charm to the whole place, which fits in really well with Frankfurt.
Admittedly, no burger revolution is taking place here. But the team of the "Good Guys" has managed to give their shop and their burgers their own appealing touch. And that makes a visit then absolutely recommendable for everyone who loves delicious burgers!
