At the beginning of January, the Café Faleyda opened at Merianplatz. As with the previous store, they continue to serve delicious frozen yogurt with a variety of toppings and homemade sauces. Not too sweet, not too many calories, vegan on request and always refreshingly delicious. But the Café does not only focus on frozen yogurts, but offers a significantly expanded range. Already in the morning, you can choose from an appealing breakfast menu here, which offers homemade jams as well as cheese or fruits. Of course, there's also a selection of homemade cakes - again, with some vegan offerings - with the cheesecake in particular really coming recommended.
Crêpes and waffles of various varieties round out the sweet offerings. For those who like it heartier, try the "wonder dough" with various fillings like potatoes and peas. Here, too, guests can order a vegan version. To drink, in addition to a few cold beverages, there is a small but fine selection of high-quality teas, including the in-house Faleyda tea. The usual coffee specialties such as latte, cappuccino or latte macchiato are also on the menu, as is hot chocolate. If you can't make up your mind with all this on offer, you'll definitely get friendly advice and very attentive service here.
The atmosphere here is nice and cozy. Of course, it's especially nice when it's warm enough that you can sit out and enjoy your order overlooking the busy Merianplatz. The Café Faleyda is a really likeable and delicious addition to this square and is guaranteed to attract lots of new regulars when the temperatures rise at the latest. We're also guaranteed to pop in again sometime - just to try the other cake varieties too!
