The time has finally come: In the cinemas, the projectors are fired up again, the popcorn is prepared and many great, new film highlights are sent into the race. Of course, there are still some restrictions such as a reduced amount of space to ensure spacing, as well as the mask requirement. Still, it's nice to finally see movies back where they were made to be - in theaters!
Here's a quick rundown of which cinemas open when and what to look out for:
Astor Film Lounge - The premium cinema in MyZeil will open on 1. July open. Tickets should be purchased online if possible to avoid queues at the entrance. In the cinema, masks are mandatory until the seat, where the mask can then be removed. In addition, proof of testing, vaccination or recovery must be presented. Info and tickets are available HERE
Arthouse Kinos Frankfurt (Eldorado, Cinema, Harmonie) - The three cinemas under the umbrella of Arthouse Kinos Frankfurt will also start showing films again from 01. July again show films. In the Eldorado about the Oscar winner "Nomadland" will be seen. Tickets can be bought online now. Those who buy tickets on site will then also have to fill out a contact form. CineStar Metropolis - The multiplex cinema at the Eschenheimer Tor shows from 1. July any amount of new films. To visit the cinema, a contact form must be filled out. Masks are mandatory until the assigned seat, where they can be removed. All further info and tickets are available HERE
CineStar Mainzer Landstr. - Also the CineStar in Griesheim opens its 8 halls again for the public. Especially attractive: Free parking is available directly in front of the entrance. Kinopolis MTZ - In the Main Taunus Center you can from 1. July again into the magic film world. For this, you must also adhere to the applicable rules here: Tickets should be purchased online if possible. Contact details must be provided (contact form or with the Corona-Warn app). Cinema at the DFF - The Cinema at the Film Museum has already been showing films again since June 24. To enjoy them in the cinema, a negative proof (certified convalescent proof, daily certified negative test or vaccination proof) is currently required. Contact information is collected via form or with the Luca app. Masks are mandatory throughout the house, only at the course may the mask be removed. Mal Sehn Kino - According to current planning, the Mal Sehn` Kino also resumes on 1. July the play enterprise again. The following rules currently apply for a visit: Upon entry, a certified negative "Tested Vaccinated Convalescent" proof must be presented and contact information left via Luca or Corona app if applicable. Filmforum Höchst - The popular arthouse cinema in Höchst will resume play on July 1. Again, the current Stage 2 rules in Hesse apply: Mandatory masks are required throughout the building (including in the movie theater seats), contact information must be left behind, and proof of vaccinated, tested, or recovered status is required. Cinemaxx Offenbach - In the multiplex cinema in Offenbach run the latest blockbusters from 01. July over the screens. Also here applies. Tickets, if possible, buy online, pay attention to distances and in the entire house applies the mask obligation up to the reserved seat. Autokino Gravenbruch - The drive-in cinema was also allowed to show movies during the lockdown.
