The Kempinski Hotel Frankfurt revives old party times in the <link https: www.kempinski.com de frankfurt hotel-gravenbruch dining torschaenke _blank>Torschänke: Every first Friday of the month it becomes a disco tavern. From 22:00 the rustic restaurant turns into a dance location for the Ü40 generation, where DJ Raffa spins hits from the 1970s and 80s. The first party will take place on March 1.
A disco at the <link https: www.kempinski.com de frankfurt hotel-gravenbruch dining torschaenke _blank>Torschänke revives a tradition: In the 1980s, the "Pferdestall" resided in the historic building, where dance-loving crowds met several times a week to party. The Pferdestall was considered an institution in the Rhine-Main area. "With the Diskoschänke, we want to tie in with these old times," explains hotel director Karina Ansos. "People still rave about the parties at the Pferdestall today, and I'm sure the atmosphere at the Diskoschänke will be at least as good."
The drinks menu is based on the time: green witch, tequila sunrise, Cuba Libre and co. As a little refreshment during dance breaks there are tapas for EUR 5 from the Torschänken kitchen. "Intended is the Diskoschänke for guests ‚Ü40', but of course dance lovers of all ages are welcome," says Karina Ansos. Admission is free.
