Frankfurt-Tipp invites to the 1st Virtual Christmas Market Frankfurt & Rhein-Main

On November 23, the Frankfurt Christmas Market would have been ceremoniously opened. Then the lights on the tree on the Römerberg would have gone on, which many thousands of people would have watched with shining eyes. But this year the Frankfurt Christmas Market is cancelled, just like almost all other small and large Christmas markets in Germany. We have to do without sharing a mulled wine with good friends, without watching our children happily doing their rounds on the merry-go-rounds and without strolling along the stalls while the smell of roasted almonds and mulled wine envelops us. But Frankfurt-Tipp still wants to provide a little Christmas market feeling. In addition to our Christmas market box, we also invite you to the 1st Virtual Christmas Market Frankfurt & Rhine-Main.

A virtual Christmas market? Some may now think: does it have to be? After all, the digital world can do many things, but it just can't give users that very special Christmas market feeling. So you might as well leave a virtual version of a Christmas market alone. In essence, this may be true, but we are still convinced that this version is an important sign that should symbolize a little cohesion and hope even in this difficult winter. Because the cancellation of the Christmas markets hits traders and showmen particularly hard. And we want to give them with the 1st Virtual Christmas Market Frankfurt & Rhine-Main the opportunity to offer their goods despite the cancellation of the physical market.

For this we have created a Facebook group to make this possible. The whole thing works quite simply:

1. Interested parties write an email to marketing@trifels.de and secure a free stand space as of now.

2. In response, we will give you a booth number and all other relevant info

3. Then just join the group, create an album and post a selection of pictures in it and include the booth number and contact info or a shop link in the description

4. Then the goods can be sold

Once again, the offer is of course absolutely free and is intended to give traders the opportunity to absorb a tiny bit of the losses incurred by the failure of the Christmas markets. We do not want to and cannot replace the real Christmas market. But maybe with this virtual variant we can contribute a small part to the fact that the winter for the affected dealers and showmen will not be quite as hard as feared.
